The Baldivis Children’s Forest was a great venue for the latest Mr Slushy frozen slush machine party…
…the weather was warm, the sausages were sizzling and the slushies were icy cold and flowing fast. Mr Slushy was such a big hit that the cheeky cherubs were lining up for their next cup while still drinking their first cup.
A big thank you to Trey from Rhythm Spirit Drum Circles for his fantastic rhythm and drum beating and keeping the little wild animals entertained and in control, a great time was had by all and even the bigger people were toe-tapping along.
The flavours of the day were raspberry and blue lemonade which were a big hit and they just keep coming back for more.
What and where is the Baldivis Children’s Forest you may ask?
The Baldivis Children’s Forest is a public reserve of approximately 50 acres located about 50km south of Perth on Mandurah Road in Baldivis. It contains tuart woodlands and at the top of the hill is a large undercover area with power, toilets, bbq, walk trails, public art and an amphitheatre is located further down the hill. The reserve is managed for the conservation of native plants and animals. No dogs, pets or trail bikes are permitted in the reserve.
There is no charge for using the facilities but most people give a small donation to the Baldivis Children’s Forest for community tree planting and maintenance. The local children and volunteers have created this park from an old farm pasture block during the past 12 years and continue to manage the reserve in partnership with the City of Rockingham.
